The Ashanti Regional Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Mr. Yaw Mensah, has been installed Linguist (Okyeame) of the Omanhene of the Kumawu Traditional Area, Barima Sarfo Tweneboa Kodua.
Mr. Mensah, 55, a Licensed Chemical Seller from the Bretuo Clan, answers to the stool name of Nana Yaw Opoku Mensah, and automatically assumes the position of Senior Linguist (Kyeamehene) of the Kumawumanhemaa, Nana Serwaa Amponsah.
Nana Mensah has, since last Monday, sworn the oath of allegiance to the Kumawuhene and Queenmother to assume office.
Madam Suyeba Maria, a personnel of the local School Feeding Programme, was also installed the Women’s Leader (Obaapanin) of the Kumawu Zongo community
