Abutia Chief Advocates Commercial Farming

CIMG2384,,,,,,,,,,The Chief of Abutia-Kloe , Togbe Adza Kodzo VI, has advocated the need to promote commercial farming  to ensure that the peasant method of cultivating the land over the years would be a thing of the past.

Togbe Adza Kodzo noted that commercial farming would go a long way to improve upon agriculture activities, resulting in peace in society, because research showed that communities where there existed food security, issues of conflict do not exist.

The Chief, who has completed a study at the Kofi Anann International Peace Keeping Center in Accra, and would soon be pursuing a doctorate degree in international conflict management at Kennesaw State University, was addressing a mini durbar at Abutia -Kloe in honour of the Attorney of the Kennesaw State University, Her Ladyship Dr. Flora Devine, who was the Chief’s lecturer at the Kofi Anann International Peace Keeping Centre.

Togbe Adza Kodzo, therefore, called for support for farmers to enable them take farming as a business, and commended Col. Emmanuel Kotia for his skills and efforts at promoting peace and development at all times in the country.

Her Lordship Dr. Flora Devine commended Togbe Adza Kodzo for his leadership qualities, which had led to the existing peace in Abutia-Kloe community, saying peace was a prerequisite for development, and urged the people to emulate his character, so as to ensure peace and progress in the area.

Dr. Flora Devine noted that education was the key to any form of development, further enumerating that it was important for parents to take the education of their wards more seriously, particularly, the girl child, adding that with education the people could achieve much development in the community.
