This is through the instrumentality of Kloma Hengme, a pressure group in the Yilo Krobo municipality, which is pencilled to be inaugurated on Sunday October 12, this year, at the Liberty Complex, Kodjonya.
The programme, which is expected to start at 1:30 p.m., is under the theme “Arise Krobo Youth, and lets Build Our Land Now”.
Speaking to the Eastern File, the Communication Director of the Association, Mr. Isaac Tematey, said the group had invited the chiefs of the two communities, as a form of effort to bridge the gap between Manya and Yilo, and further drum home the need for unity towards development.
“The main purpose of this mega inauguration ceremony is to officially swear the executives of the association into office, and to appeal for funds in pursuance of the numerous projects the association is embarking on, as part of our Krobo development agenda,” he underscored.
He continued that “as part of our agenda of promoting and preserving the Krobo heritage, a number of Krobo cultural troupes will be performing on the day to showcase the best of our Krobo culture and tradition”.
