A team of ophthalmic nurses in the Ashanti Region has embarked on an eye-screening programme for the inmates and officials of the Amanfrom Prison Camp in the Atwima Nwabiagya District.
The inmates, whose ages ranged between 19 and 70, were screened for Refractive Errors 13, Phrygia/Pinguecula 8, Allergic Conjunctivitis 32, Suspicious Discs 6, Optic Atrophy 1, Corneal scars 1, Cataract 4, Uveitis 4, and 4 others, while the majority of them were without any problems.
