Forewin Ghana Limited, dealers in food items like Geisha Mackerel and Sardine, in collaboration with J.F.E Kawasho, has donated a quantity of teaching and learning materials to the Atonsu M/A Primary and Junior High School in the Asoka constituency of Kumasi.
The items included school desks, Geisha Mackerel products and Geisha branded note books.
Mr. Samuel A. Zacca, Head of Corporate Affairs, at the presentation, explained that the gesture was part of the organisation’s social responsibility to complement the government’s efforts in improving quality education, saying they believed education was the backbone of the socio economic growth of every nation.
He stated that with Geisha products being premier in Ghana, they feel that contributing or giving back to society was in the right direction.
Mr. Zacca advised the students to take their studies serious, by making friends with their books to secure themselves a better future, because education is the key to success in life.
He thanked Ghanaians in general for patronising their products all this while, and gave the assurance that they will continue to provide quality products on the market.
The Headmistress, Madam Grace Bemah, expressed her appreciation on behalf of the beneficiary schools, and lauded Forewin and JFE Kawasho for the kind gesture, which, she said, came at the right time.
She appealed to other corporate bodies and organisations to also emulate the shining example of Forewin Ghana Limited and JFE Kawasho, to enhance quality of education for Ghanaian children.
