The chiefs and people of Appiadu in the Ejisu Municipality are to build a one-storey building to house a local police station from a levy of GH¢400 per household.
Odeefuo Owusu Amoaye II has released a one acre plot of land for the project, which is scheduled to commence in April this year.
A committee has been appointed by Chief Odeefuo Owusu Amoaye II to ensure the completion of the project, estimated to cost about GH¢600.000.
The Chairman of the committee, Mr. Gerald Owusu Ansah, aka Jeff Kay, on behalf of the members, thanked the Chief for the initiative.
He announced that the project would need a contingency amount of GH¢60,000 to start.
Other members of the committee are Nana Yeboah, Sumpahene, Secretary; Mr. Eugene Moratt, PRO; Nana Annor Piesie, Vice Chairman, Assistant Secretary; Mr. Asante Botwe, Treasurer, Mr. Durobeng; Finance, Dr. Coffie; Assist Finance, Dr. Coffie, Assist Finance, Sir Adams, Technical, Dr. Ofosu Antwi, Mr. Fimpong Boateng, Mr. Boamah Darkwa, and Advisers, Nana Kofi Annor and Nana Esther.
