The Orphans and Needy Smile Foundation (ONSF) has presented a number of relief items to residents of Kokofo and surrounding communities.
Over 300 participants from Kokofu and 12 surrounding communities, including Worakese, Essumeja, Onwe, Akyeremade, Aboaso , Sebedea, Essase and Akokofe, all in the Kokofu Traditional Area, benefitted from the donation, made up of provisions, clothes and shoes, after a Thanksgiving Service held at the forecourt of the Kokofu Prisons.
Reverend Ross Addae, founder of ONSF, said his outfit is not an orphanage home, but deals with orphans, the needy and neglected, with the ultimate aim to put smiles on the faces of the vulnerable. Rev Ross disclosed that ONSF was sponsoring the education of over 400 kids in Kokofu alone.
The ONSF founder noted that the Foundation used to visit a number of orphanages in the Ashanti Region, but the government has ordered the closure of such homes, leaving government-owned ones operational, hence ONSF is taking care of people, through their coordinators in the various towns in the Ashanti Region.
A Kindergarten pupil from Onwe, Justice Kusi, expressed profound gratitude to the event organisers for bringing on such a programme, adding, God will bless them for remembering the poor and needy.
