???????????????????????????????The Tema Regional Police Command has seized a quantity of dried cocoa beans suspected to have been stolen while being transported.   Briefing the Tema press corps, the Public Relations Officer of the Tema police, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Juliana Obeng, said on April, 19, 2015, at about 8:30 p.m., the police intercepted a DAF tipper truck with registration No. GT 9438-15, driven by one Seth Kodie.
According to her, the truck was intercepted at the Tsopoli Barrier on the Tema-Aflao highway by police personnel on duty. ASP Juliana Obeng narrated that the tipper truck was carrying an unspecified number of bags of dried cocoa beans suspected to have been stolen. Upon suspicion, police demanded that the driver of the truck produce the waybill covering the cocoa beans, but he showed reluctance.

This prompted the police to become more suspicious, and based on that, he was arrested and the truck containing the items escorted to the Tema Regional Police Headquarters for investigation. ASP Juliana stated:

“Investigations are underway to ascertain the quantity of sacks of dried beans on the truck, and whether there is proper documentation covering the beans, and where it is coming from and where he was taking it to.” “The suspects involved, as we speak, are being cautioned and further investigations will be conducted,” she reiterated.
