Atwimahene Donates Pick-Up, Motorbikes To Police Command

2The Atwimahene, Nana Antwi Adjei Brempong II, has donated a Toyota pick-up to the Ashanti Regional Police Command to be handed over to the new District Police Headquarters at Denchemmuoso-Techiman.

The Chief also handed over two motorbikes to DCOP Kofi Boakye, Ashanti Regional Police Commander, at a ceremony in Kumasi.

Nana Adjei Brempong explained that the gesture was an effort to partner the police to deliver in performing their duties for the prevalence of peace and order in the various communities.

According to him, the elevation of the Denchemuoso-Techiman police station to District Headquarters to serve about 15 communities is a dream come true to tighten security in the area.

He stated that the two motorbikes was a contribution from Hill Top and Doctor Quantum, a gynaecologist who has his facility within the area.

DCOP Kofi Boakye, who received the vehicle and motorbikes on behalf of the police, commended Nana Antwi Bremong II for the exemplary leadership by nananom to assist the police to ensure the effective protection of lives and property, and peace and order in the region.

4He pleaded with other Nananom and all stakeholders to emulate the shining example of Nana Brempong and his elders, since fighting crime is a collective effort by the police and citizenry.

The Police Commander assured the people of the determination of the service to ensure that peace prevails at all times to enhance socio-economic growth.

He said the law will always be allowed to take its course without fear of favour, irrespective of one’s status, because nobody is above the law.
