Fuseini Donkor, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sekyere Afram Plains, now holds the additional responsibility as the acting DCE for the Sekyere Kumawu District, the District Coordinating Director, Mr. D Y Gyan-Barima, has announced.
He is to fill the vacuum created by the exit of Samuel Asiamah, whose term of office ended recently, after four years duty post. Samuel Asiamah has, since August 14, 2015, handed over the administration of the assembly to the Ashanti Regional Minister, Peter Anarfi-Mensah.
The acting DCE tasked the staff and heads of departments to adopt pragmatic strategies that would inure to the benefit of the district. He said, as heads, nothing barred them from initiating programmes that could propel the district’s development agenda.
The DCE reiterated the need for closer collaboration among the various departments for the effective delivery of the government’s programmes and policies. He also charged the staff to let their expertise come to bear on the activities and programmes of the assembly.
Fuseini Donkor, however, assured the staff that he was going to operate an open door policy, and that each and everyone was at liberty to approach him on any issue, either official or personal. Mr. D. Y. Gyan-Barima also assured the acting DCE of full cooperation from the assembly staff.
