An amount of GH¢41,778 has been realised at a fund raising harvest, organised by the chief and people of Manso Adubia in the Amansie West District in aid of the construction of a District Police Headquarters.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Manso Adubia, Mr. Yaw Frimpong Addo, noted a police headquarters would help check rampant crimes in the area. He disclosed that he had supported the renovation of the Manso Adubia Police Station with an amount of GH¢18,000, and promised to continue to support the project financially.
The Chief of Manso Adubia, Nana Doku Appiah Danquah, said with the creation of the Manso Adubia constituency, it had become necessary to strengthen security in the area, hence the need for a District Police Headquarters. The Assembly member for Manso Adubia, Mr. Peter Atta Asenso, observed that the community has rekindled its communal spirit, and has been able to mould about 4,000 blocks towards the project.
He appealed to citizens resident home and abroad to come home and support development projects. Mr. Abu Gyansah, a native who presided over the harvest, contributed GH¢4,000 towards the project, and appealed to the planning committee to be accountable to the community when the need arises.
