As part of efforts to promote human capital development, AngloGold Ashanti Iduapriem Mine, has, at its Employee Long Service Awards ceremony, honoured 91 employees who have contributed significantly towards the operations of the company.
The Iduapriem Mine Employees Long Service Awards ceremony seeks to demonstrate the value the company places on its cherished employees who have served it diligently. Mr. Kennedy Ewuntomah, Senior-Manager Human Resources for the Mine, in his address commended the awardees for their hard work and dedication of service, which has contributed to the growth of the business in the AGA portfolio since its operations in Tarkwa.
Presenting citations to the awardees, Mr. Ewuntomah said their names will forever remain in the annals of Iduapriem Mine for their dedication and hard work. He encouraged the employees to pursue excellence to drive Iduapriem forward in every area of operations.
The awards which included citations, home appliances, building materials and generator sets, were presented to employees who had served the company between 20 to 25 years, 10 to 15 years and 5 years across the departments.
The long service awards were instituted several years ago to boost employee morale and encourage talent retention. This year’s Employees Long Service Awards brought together management employees and their families and stakeholders of the Mine.
