The Amansie West District Assembly has donated food items worth about GH¢20,000 to the Muslim community in the district, in connection with their one-month long fasting period.
The food items included 60 bags of rice and 30 cartons of cooking oil.
Mr. Alex Bonsu, District Chief executive, who made the presentation, appealed to Muslims to continue praying for the nation for peaceful elections.
The District Chief Imam, Mohammed Abubakari, who received the items, thanked the District Assembly for the continued support to the Muslims community, and urged them to keep it up.
