1The First Allied Savings and Loan limited has donated items to the Children and Maternity Health Hospital (MCHH) in Kumasi, as part of its 20th Anniversary celebration.
The items included T-rolls, First Allied branded exercise books, mineral water, three big dustbins, biscuits, babies’ diapers, four cartons Calypo drinks, and a host of other items.

Another donation, including a patient monitor worth GH¢20,000, was presented to the MCHH to facilitate the running of the hospital.
The donations followed a massive cleanup exercise at the hospital, which provides paediatric services besides maternal cases.

Mr. Augustine Amakye Ansah, Head of Administration and Human Resource, explained that they have been motivated by the fact that mothers who give birth at the facility run away and leave their babies with the hospital authorities, who reel under pressure and financial constraints to save the situation, hence their assistance.

Mr. Amakye indicated that as part of their social responsibilities, they have been embarking on similar missions on a monthly and annual basis in the years gone by. “As we serve our clients, we are also expanding our tentacles, thereby reaching the poor and the needy in our society,” the First Allied boss told the media.

Mr. Amakye Asante urged other organisations to come to the aid of MCHH, since they need help to keep the hospital, which serves the northern sector.

The Medical Superintendent of MCHH, Dr. Buah Bosque-Hamilton, thanked First Allied for coming to their aid. An elated Dr. Hamilton explained that the patient’s monitor machine was useful for the measuring of pressure, pulse, rate of breath without human interference.

The Medical Superintendent explained that a new theatre has been built to expand rate of work towards conducting modern surgical operations, hence they need a lot of help to keep their theatre running. Supt Bosque-Hamilton appealed to organisations and well-meaning Ghanaians to come to their aid.
