The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TLG Transport and Mining Company limited, Mr. Samson Kofi Wiredu, has embarked on the reconstruction of the 39-kilometre stretch of road at Bepotenten in the Amansie Central District of the Ashanti Region.
Mr. Wiredu, affectionately known as Elder Wiredu, has committed over GH¢51,300 into the rehabilitation of the stretch from Framso-Bepotenten, and hoped it would facilitate transportation in the area.
According to him, the project, which is part of the social responsibility of his company, is his personal contribution to the development of the area.
Besides the road project, Mr. Wiredu has donated 100 bags of cement towards the construction of the Nureso Bridge.
Elder Wiredu, who is a Presiding Elder of Oforikrom Apostolic Church Ghana, revealed that he has also built a four-unit classroom block with one office and store room, which is 95 percent complete, as well as provided a generating plant for Bepotenen
Mr. Wiredu appealed to colleague miners in the Amansie Central District to help in the development of the respective areas in which they operate.
