FOMENA, the seat of the Adansi Traditional Council erupted into an uncontrollable joy as the citizens welcomed the installation of a new Adansihene, after almost nine years since the demise of Nana Ofori Agyeman II.
The late Nana Ofori Agyemang II, was installed the Adansihene in 1997, but died on July 15, 2005, at the age of 69, after a short illness.
Singing and dancing , the large crowd, made up of both the youth and the aged moved from one end of the town to the other, in jubilation, wishing the new Omanhene, Nana Bonsra Afriyie II, 63, long life and prosperity
Before the installation of the new Adansihene at the weekend, Okofo Sobin Kan, the chief of Dompoase, had acted as the President of the Adansi Traditional Council.
Known in private life as Kwaku Bonsra, the new President of the Adansi Traditional Council promised a kind of leadership that would bring development to the area.
He, therefore, appealed to Adansiman to give him the needed support and encouragement, stressing that “the development of the traditional area is a collective responsibility”.
