THE MANAGEMENT of Golden Pride, one of the fastest growing savings and loans companies in the country, has donated 4,000 branded exercise books to students of AngloGold Ashanti (AGA) schools at Obuasi. The gesture, worth GH¢ 6,000 forms part of the company’s social responsibility.
Presenting the books to the school, Mr. Peter Fraizer Owusu-Kusi, Senior Manager in charge of Credit and Operations of Golden Pride, explained that the financial institution was born out of labour agitation because it belonged to Ghana Mine Workers Union (GMWU) and that its commitment to establishing good human resource for the country cannot be compromised.
He added that his outfit had the welfare of children at heart, adding “At Golden Pride, children are dear to us, and because of this, we have a product called the precious kids account, which is purposely designed for children below age 18. As children, we must develop the habit of savings, in order to help us build a better future for ourselves”, he said.
The Headmaster of AGA Schools, Mr. Owusu Gyamera, commended the management of Golden Pride Savings and Loans for the gesture.
