A retired referee of the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA), the world governing soccer body, has been installed Akwamuhene of Sabin-Akrofuom in the Kwanwoma District.
Mr. Emmanuel Bisi, a professional referee of 20 years, has sworn the oath of allegiance to Nana Kofi Osei, Chief of Sabi Akrofuom, under the stool name of Nana Kwabena Nti Bisi.
Nana Nti Bisi commended Nana Kofi Osei for the honour done him to serve the community in that capacity, and promised to help bring peace, unity, progress and development to the citizens of the area.
He assured Nana Kofi Osei of his selflessness and readiness to help him (Chief) succeed and deliver on his core mandate of bringing unity and development among the people.
Nana Kofi Osei advised the new chief to be humble and gentle in all his endeavourers as a stakeholder, in his dealings and approach to issues concerning peace and development.
Nana Osei reminded Nana Bisi that his priority was to work and make his people united, as the only way the community can progress.
He urge him to be firm as he was on the field of play during his professional duty as a referee, to ensure that truth prevails in all that he does .
Nana Owoahene Acheampong and Nana Boakye Dankwah were also sworn in as Baamuhene and Benkumhene respectively of the community at a colourful occasion, which was graced by the Member of Parliament for the area, Kwadwo Appiah-Kubi, and other dignitaries.
