The Manso-Adubia Gold Buyers Association (MAGBA) in the Amansie West District has presented items to the Manso-Adubia D/A Junior High School (JHS), the police and the traditional council.
The items include computers and accessories for the Manso-Adubia JHS, five packets of roofing sheets for the police station and the traditional council to help complete the renovation work at the chief’s palace at Manso-Adubia.
Mr. Alex Arko Darkwah, Chairman of the association, explained that the gesture was to foster unity among gold dealers in the area in enhancing the welfare of communities in which they operate.
He said the association had come to stay, and would ensure that they remained a united force to help the communities in the areas of education, health, security and infrastructural development.
The District Commander, ASP. Mr. Damoah, advised the gold dealers to rely on the banking institutions to avoid attacks from armed robbers.
He said it was prudent to engage the services of the police in the process of transferring monies to ensure their safety.
Nana Adusei Kwadampem II, Gyasehene of Manso-Adubia, and Mr. Solomon Buckman, who received the items, commended the executives and entire membership of the association for the kind gesture.
