Nana Osei Kofi, Chief of Sabin Akrofrom in the Atwima Kwanwoma District, has performed the sod-cutting for commencement of work to begin on a proposed District Court building at Sabin Akrofrom.
The project, being funded from the chief’s on resources towards ensuring peace and stability in the area, is estimated to cost about GH¢350,000. Nana Osei Kofi said at the ceremony that the project was expected to assert security and prevail on the people the need to maintain law and order, towards promoting peace for development.
He said areas like health, education and sanitation are his priority for development.
The Chief also announced that a bungalow and offices for the judge and staff would be constructed, while a modern police station and barracks are to be constructed to help ensure adequate security in the area, and pleaded with all stakeholders, including Nananom and philanthropists, both at home and in the Diaspora, to assist him realise the dream.
Mr. John Isaiah-Koffie, District Magistrate, commended Nana Kofi Osei for his vision and contribution towards the maintenance of peace, which he saw as a basic requirement for development.
Mr. Joseph Yamin, Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, on behalf of the Regional Minister, Samuel Sarpong, lauded Nana Kofi Osei for his vision and collaboration with the government in improving the justice system in the country.

He urged others chiefs to emulate the Chief of Sabin Akrofrom to enhance development in their various jurisdictions, since the beneficiaries of such projects are the immediate citizens in the area.
Mr. Kwabena Nkrumah, District Chief Executive for Atwima Kwanwoma, pleaded with Nananom and all the citizenry to put politics aside when it comes to development, and fight for improvements in the living standard of the people.
