The Chief Executive Officer of “Yesu Dea” VIP Transport Service, Mr. Yaw Amponsah Marfo, also known as Agya Wiase, has provided a Community Centre for Mampong-Asaam, his hometown.
It has been christened Ama Serwaa Multi-Purpose Community Centre. The project is among others being under taken by the Yesu Dea Transport Service. These include the Asaam Pentecost Church, an ambulance for the Asaam Clinic, and set of instruments for Asaam Methodist Church.
The Mamponghene, Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, disclosed at the commissioning of the Community Centre, that there were three mechanised boreholes and other projects which had also been undertaken, and noted that the work of Agya Wiase deserved commendation, for which he elevated Mr. Marfo, to “Sumpahene” of the Mampong Traditional Council.
He urged Ghanaians to emulate the example of Agya Wiase and give back what they have acquired from society.
The Mamponghene advised the people of Asaam and the Municipal Assembly to take good care of the projects, which have since been commissioned and handed over to the Asaam community.
The philanthropist has also donated four motorbikes to the Ashanti Regional Police command and also tarred two kilometres of streets in Asaam.
Mr. Marfo commended the \people of Asaam for supporting the projects, while noting that he was elated the project had been commissioned, and that it was not only through his efforts, but the people of Asaam also had done a great job in helping the project to see the light of day.
He charged Ghanaians that the task of transforming Ghana was on us, and that we must do it without expecting anything in return.
The Municipal Chief Executive Officer of Mampong, Mohammed Kojo Aboasu, urged Ghanaians to emulate the gesture of Agya Wiase.
He thanked the philanthropist for taking a burden off the shoulders of the assembly, and promised that the projects will be used for the intended purposes, at the same time maintaining them to prolong their life spans.
