Agya Wiase Donates Bus, Goodies To Mampong Babies Home

Mr. Yaw Amponsah Marfo alias Agya WiaseThe Mampong Babies Home saw one of its gargantuan donations, when the Chief Executive Officer of Yesu Dea VIP Buses Transport Services, Mr. Yaw Amponsah Marfo, donated a large amount of money and items to the home.

A 23-seater Mercedes Sprinter bus was given to the orphanage, which was established in 1967 to facilitate the running of the place.

The items included 10 bags of rice, 100 packs of drinks, 10 boxes of key soap, 10 cartons of Milo and milk, five gallons of cooking oil, 100 boxes of bottled water, a cow and provisions.

Presenting the GH¢826,000 worth of items to the home during a short colourful ceremony at Mampong, Mr. Amponsah Marfo, popularly known as Agya Wiase, disclosed that it was God who directed him to come and donate the items to the home.

According to Agya Wiase, all the successes he has chalked in life was by the grace of God, and that the only way to express his gratitude was to share with the needy.

Touching on the motive of the gesture, the simple-looking ‘Yesu Dea’ CEO noted that he and his workers want to put a smile on the faces of the inmates, which will see God blessing the entire ‘Yesu Dea’ family, including his workers.

On the usage of the Sprinter bus, Mr. Amponsah Marfo stated that it would help the authorities run the home effectively and efficiently.

He thanked his workers for their hard work and cooperation, adding that they had brought him to where he is today. Receiving the items, the Principal of the home, Madam Margaret Addai, expressed her profound gratitude to the CEO of ‘Yesu Dea.’

According to her, she was dumbfounded to see a large quantity of items being offloaded from a tipper truck, all meant for the home.

Describing the donation as incredible, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Mampong, Mohammed Kojo Aboasu, thanked Agya Wiase for the items, noting that the home has not experienced such a donation in their annals.

The MCE asserted that it was the responsibility of the Assembly to attend to the calls of the home, and gave the assurance that it would not renege on its responsibilities.

The Sufragen Bishop of Mampong, Bishop Kwabena Ben Smith, thanked Mr. Yaw Amponsah Marfo for the wonderful gesture, and assured him the items would be put to good use.
