Clik here to view.Mr. Peter Anarfi-Mensah, Ashanti Regional Minister, has paid a working visit to the Bekwai Municipal Assembly to commission a number of projects initiated and completed by the government through the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) and Assembly.
The projects include the Bekwai lorry park, tutors bungalow at St Michael Senior High School at Ahweren, which projected was started 10 years ago, a two-storey boys dormitory, toilet and bath for the Bekwai Wesley Senior High School, and three-unit classroom, Staff Common Room, library, and Headmasters office with toilet for the Esiease M/A Primary and Junior High School.
He noted that the commissioned facilities will enhance teaching and learning, and charged the beneficiary schools to take good care of the facilities for the benefit of incoming ones.
He stressed on the culture of maintenance, and pleaded with school authorities to ensure that they cultivate it and keep the facilities clean.
The Regional Minister also advised the students to be up and doing, and take their studies seriously to justify why they are in school.
He bemoaned the level of indiscipline among students of today, and described it as very bad, warning them to desist from indulging in anything that could endanger their future.

Mrs. Mary Jantuah, Municipal Chief Executive, called on the people to support the government to enable it embark on more developmental projects in the area to help improve the living standard of all.
Nana Kaakari Appau II, Omanhene of Bekwai Traditional Area commended the government for efforts at improving the living standard of the citizenry in the face of economic hardship and difficulties.
