A new boy’s dormitory and teachers’ bungalow have been commissioned for the Beposo Senior High School in the Bosomtwe District by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr. Peter Anarfi-Mensah, to enhance teaching and learning.
The Headmistress of the Beposo Senior High School, Mrs. Ellen Takye Mensah, mentioned during the commissioning of the projects that the school lacks major infrastructural facilities, and that the existing infrastructure needs urgent attention. She mentioned that the Administration Block, toilet facility for the girls, Assembly Hall and Dining Hall of the school, which were started since 1994.
Mrs. Takye Mensah appealed to the government and the Ministry of Education, through the Regional Minister and the Regional Education Directorate, headed by Mrs. Mary Owusu Akyiaw, to come to the aid of the school to help improve teaching and learning. Minister Anarfi-Mensah assured the school of the assistance of the government to ensure that the school is in a position to compete with others in the country.
He stated that, the school was a community school, and for that matter, pleaded with the stakeholders and nananom to always partner the government in improving the standard of community schools in the country. He revealed that the government will soon supply 25,000 mattresses, 18,000 mono desks, and 50,000 tables and chairs to derived schools in the country, and expressed the hope that Beposo SHS will benefit from the package.
