A Manso-Nkwanta-based small scale mining company in the Amansie West District, Robees Mining and Construction, has provided four mechanised boreholes to three communities in the district.
The beneficiary communities are Manso Moseaso, Manso Nkaasu and Manso Krofufrom. The cost of the four boreholes is estimated at GH¢112,000.
The company has also acquired a piece of land and moulded about 4,000 blocks to construct a 3-room teachers’ quarters to address accommodation problems facing national service personnel posted to the town as teachers at Manso Ankam.
The Managing Director of Robees Mining and Construction, Mr. Robert Nkrumah, said the gesture is the company’s corporate social responsibility, in its quest to provide some of the basic needs to improve the life of the people, besides providing employment to over100 indigenes.
Mr. Nkrumah appealed to the government to assist them acquire a mining licence without delay. The Chief of Manso Ankam, Nana Kwantwi Ankomah II, thanked the company for the assistance.
