The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Taabea Company Limited, manufacturers of Taabea Bitters and Taabea Malamix, Mr. Christian Akwasi Agyemang, has presented three sets of brand new computers, valued at over GH¢8,000, to the Asokwa District Police Command, as part of efforts to assist the security agency in its operations.

The items are to help the police in the collection and processing of data, in order to support the fight against crime and other social vices within the Asokwa community.

The company also donated five boxes of its popular anti-malaria drug, Taabea Malamix, to the police personnel, at a short ceremony held within the premises of the Asokwa District Command.

Presenting the items, the CEO said the company was duly satisfied with the excellent job being carried out by personnel of the Asokwa Command, and felt obliged to assist them.

He stated that since the company is located within the Asokwa community, it is his duty to support the activities of the police in dealing with miscreants, stressing that the police required the co-operation and support of the public to be able to perform their legitimate duties.

The Asokwa Divisional Police Commander, ACP Charles Domianban, said the computers would be very useful to the operations of the police, in the area of storage and management of information.

He noted that modern policing requires effective and efficient management of data, emphasising that the computers would help in that direction.

ACP Domianban said his division was working hard to deal with issues of robbery, drug-peddling, prostitution, and other forms of criminal acts, which, he said, were very rampant in the community because of the size of its jurisdiction.

He stated that his outfit, in the last few months, had mounted swoops on areas such as Sokoban Wood Village, Abinkyi Market, Gyinyase and Asafo, where several criminals were arrested, some of who are currently facing prosecution.

The Divisional Police Commander, therefore, commended the CEO of Taabea Company for his generosity, and appealed to others to do same.
