Joy Dadi Promotes Boxing In Region

2Landmark, event organisers, and Joy Dadi Industries, producers of alcoholic beverages, are set to present a re-match between Braimah Kamoko a.k.a. Bukom Banku and Ayittey Powers.
The event, which is dubbed “Night of Repeat/Revenge”, would take place at the Koforidua Sports Stadium, and about 5,000 boxing lovers are expected to watch the fight on December 26, this year. The “Boxing Day” fight would also see some top notch musicians and entertainers in the country.

Commenting at a press conference to announce the event, the Chief Executive Officer of Joy Dadi Industries, Dr. Manfred Takyi, said the two renowned boxers are friends, but would be enemies on December 26, just to give patrons value for their money.

On his part, the Managing Director of the company, Dr. Harrison Tetteh, said the bout is not a joke, and as such would not be an arranged one. He, therefore, asked Ghanaians to fully patronise the event to help promote the sport in the region.

3The Eastern Regional Sports Director, Mrs. Gifty Horsu-Fianu, lauded Joy Dadi Industries for seeking to promote boxing in the region. According to the Sports Director, she is happy with the choice of venue for the re-match, and is strongly behind Joy Dadi Industries in making sure the bout is a success.

Mrs. Horsu-Fianu lamented that there are a lot of unearthed talents in the region, and as such, the bout would help promote the sport in the region. According to her, the event would be the first time a professional boxing bout is being organised in the region.
