Nana Owusu Achiaw, Dabehene of Manso Nkwanta Traditional Area, has donated one generator set and a car battery worth GH¢1,500 to the Amansie West District Education office to support effective work any time an energy crisis hits the directorate.
The Chief explained that the donation follows an urgent request list by the District Director of Education, Mr. Anthony Amoako, that included a generator set, computers, printers, car battery and office furniture.
He gave the assurance of his readiness to support educational programmes to enhance effective teaching and learning, and appealed to parents to invest in their children’s education, to enable them become useful citizens.
Receiving the items, Mr. Anthony Amoakoh thanked Nana Owusu Achiaw for his support to education, and urged others to emulate his gesture. He announced that during 2013, 2014 and 2015 Basic Entrance Certificate Examinations, Amansie West performed well, and commended all hard working teachers and staff for their dedication to duty and urged them to keep it up.
