Little did a 40 year old farmer in the Asuogyaman District of the region know that he would not come back home when he visited his farm.
The farmer, whose name was not readily available at the time of filing this report, was shot by a 72 year old hunter, Kwabena Adu, when he mistook him for an animal Adu, who admitted the shooting in his caution statement, said he saw some plants shaking in the distance, so he let go the trigger in that direction killing the farmer in the process.
Confirming the incident, the Eastern Regional Police Command Public Relations indicated that the hunter would be charged for possessing an unlicensed gun, aside the shooting.
