The Amoaman community, situated 10 miles from Kumasi, has entered into partnership with a Florida company to manufacture infusions in Ghana.
Under the agreement, KMS International is to establish a factory at Amoaman for the manufacture of infusions to cater for health facilities in the northern sector. The parties have agreed to form a company – The Northern Ghana Infusion Medical Limited – for the proposed venture.

Nana Agyenim Boateng I, Chief of Amoaman in the Atwima Nwabiagya District, who disclosed plans for the proposed venture during the observation of his fifth anniversary of enstoolment last Sunday, said it would cost US$11 million to establish the said factory.

According to the Chief, the community’s 10% share of the venture would go into the development of the community. The establishment of the factory would be alongside the implementation of a five-year development plan, under the theme:”Breaking barriers of development”.

Under the plan, a hospital, police station and market would be constructed to serve the teeming population of the community. Nana Boateng gave the assurance that with a total land area of 962 acres, out of which only 430 acres have been released, he would champion the rapid development of the area for the benefit of all constituents.

He called for the support of the people to ensure the realisation of his dreams for the community. The Amoaman Chief had marked his first anniversary in 2012 under the theme: “Arise and Build” with the construction of a GH¢120,000 school complex for the community.

He said enrolment in the local school had since increased from 67 to 498, and thus improved the academic performance of the pupils, with the last two batches of junior high school students scoring100% in the Basic Entrance Certificate Examinations. Nana Agyenim Boateng I ascended the Ekuona Stool of Amoaman on February 24, 2011.
