Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo, Founder and Leader of Kristo Asafo Mission, has donated items worth GH¢18,000 and GH¢11,000 to the Kumasi Children’s Home and Christ the King Children’s Home at Boadi.
The items presented to the homes were made up of ten bags of rice, 10 bags of maize, 10 packs of pampers, 10 cartoons of soft drinks, 50 bags of sachet water, 100 tubers of yam, sandals, second hands shoes, 300 loaves of bread, 3 boxes of toffee, six rolls of tissue paper, 10 buckets of clean soft, 10 cartoons of milk, 5 cartoons of Milo and 3 gallons of cooking oil to each of the homes.
Lawyer Akua Sika Sarfo, daughter of Apostle Sarfo and lawyer for the church, said the gesture formed part of activities marking his birthday (Apostle Sarfo) and assured them that the church would visit the homes every two months to ensure that the smiles remain on the faces of inmates at all times.
Mrs. Mabel Amponsah, Manageress of the Kumasi Children’s Home, who received the items, commended Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo and his church for the kind gesture. She commended the church and its leader for the assistance they had offered the home over the years.
