The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ejisu, Mr. Owusu Aduomi, has donated a motorbike to the newly-commissioned District Police headquarters at Domeabra in the Ejisu Juaben Municipality.
The MP said it was his personal contribution to the effective and efficient running of the station towards providing the much needed security for the communities in the area.
He made the presentation during the commissioning of the police station by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, in the presence of the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Alhassan, last week.
DCOP Kofi Boakye, Ashanti Regional Police Commander, who received the motorbike on behalf of the IGP, thanked the MP for the donation, and hoped other individuals and corporate bodies would emulate the gesture.
An Information Technology Communication (ICT) block and community library also built by the Chief of Domeabra, Nana Kusi Oboadum I, were also commissioned at Domeabra.
