Nana Osei Kofi, Chief of Sabin Akrofrom in the Atwima Kwanwoma District, has donated a Nissan Urvan bus to the community to provide an easy means of transport for the people during communal exercises.
The bus would be attached to the local palace, and the citizenry to access them as a means of transport to and from occasions of the community’s importance. It has been unveiled, after pastors had jointly dedicated it at a ceremony at Akrofom.
The presentation comes after the Chief had established a charity foundation christened Sabin Akrofrom Charity Foundation (SACF) at Sabin Akrofrom in the Atwima Kwanwoma District to offer educational support to brilliant but needy students to pursue education to higher levels.
The SACF is manned by a nine-member Board of Trustees, under the leadership of Lawyer Kwame Osam. Nana Osei Kofi explained that the concept of the SACF is to help improve upon the lot of the people, and urged Ghanaians to contribute to the foundation to help the poor.
The Chief has, on his enthronement two years ago, embarked upon many developmental projects, including the building of a District Court, renovation of the Kumasi Ventilated Improved Pit (KVIP), the chief’s palace, and community CHIPS compound.
The Chief has bought for himself a Mercedes Benz and a Toyota Corolla for the Queenmother.
He appealed to development partners, stakeholders, philanthropists and civil society organisations which are ready to invest in the community, to come on board, while disclosing that about 40 acres of land had been reserved for the establishment of educational projects.
The Chief also pleaded with the public for assistance to complete the District Court and the construction of toilet facilities.
